Dollar Sign Street Lines. Designer-artist Sebastian Errazuriz unveils his latest project, transforming street lines into dollar signs by simply painting a white letter S across each line. Says Errazuriz, “The goal is to express the fear and impotence that people are currently experiencing while seeing the growing greed that is transforming the way we live.”

No Globes: A Smog-Filled Snow Globe that Highlights Climate Change
This limited edition snow globe titled No Globes was designed by UK firm Dorothy to protest the construction of several dirty coal-fired power stations in 2009. Instead of the idyllic miniature scene usually found inside a snow globe with an accompanying plume of white powder, Dorothy constructed a power plant spewing a disconcerting cloud of black particles.

Kinetic sound installation
Designed for the Saint Sauveur chapel in Caen, Caten is a site specific, kinetic sound installation comprised of 300 wires suspended in the chapel. Gravity pulls the wires into a parabolic shape that mimics the arched interior spaces of the church as a rotating arm attached to the wires causes them to rise and fall. The motor emits a series of notes inspired by hymn to St John the Baptist, as the new notes play, the lower frequency notes continue to resonate throughout the space— referencing the incantations and chants that once filled the space.
